Hi everyone, its me Mia! Sorry I haven’t been posting anything for ages, I was in the middle of moving house and just haven’t had time to to update and post on this blog .

Yummy….Cheese scones

Hi guys! Everyone one loves cheesy stuff so I thought I would make some delicious Cheese scones!They are from the BBC Food website.I hope you enjoy them!Mxxx

Preparation time: Under 30 minutes

Cooking time: 15 to 20 minutes

Serves: Makes 10 to 16 scones

Dietary: Vegetarian

 

Ingredients:

225g self raising flour

pinch of salt

55g butter

30g mature cheddar cheese, grated

150ml whole milk

Method:

  1. Β Heat the oven to 220C . Lightly grease a baking sheet.
  2. Mix together the flour and salt. Rub in the butter, until a fine crumbly texture.
  3. Stir the cheese in and then the milk to get a soft dough.
  4. Knead lightly on a floured surface. Pat out with your palm to 2 cm thick.
  5. Using a 5 cm circle cutter, stamp out rounds and put on the baking sheet.
  6. Stamp out all the dough, until there is none left.
  7. Brush the tops of the scones with a little bit of milk.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes until they have risen and are golden. Cool on a wire rack until warm; then serve with butter.And a nice cup of hot chocolate….

Shortbread

This recipe is from BBC Food, so thank you for this lovely recipe! I hope you enjoy just as much as I did! Mxxx

 

Ingredients:

.125g butter

.55g caster sugar, with extra for finish

.180g plain flour

 

Method:

1.Heat the oven to 190C.

2. Beat the butter and sugar together until smooth.

3. Stir in the flour to get a smooth paste. Turn on to a work surface and gently roll out until the paste is 1 cm thick.

4. Cut the rounds or fingers and place onto a baking tray. Sprinkle with caster sugar and chill in the fridge for 20 minutes.

5. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes, or until pale golden- brown. Set aside to cool on a wire rack. Enjoy!!

 

Banana and white chocolate milkshake

I was meaning to make ice-cream, but the bananas didn’t freeze. So, I ended up making a delicious milkshake, for my family to enjoy! Mxxx

 

Ingredients:

.4 bananas

.500ml semi-skimmed milk

.1 big handful of white chocolate buttons

 

Method:

  1. Peel the bananas and freeze for 4 hours. Then put all the ingredients into a blender. There you have a lovely milkshake in two steps! Enjoy!!!
